Our Vision

Our vision here at WildSkies is to raise healthy, happy kittens that make wonderful companions. We love each and every single one of our animals and believe they deserve the best care in life possible. We believe in quality not quantity. Some of the standards we follow include:

  1. Carefully planning our breeding program in order to produce kittens of the highest quality. All of our kittens are registered with TICA. We also plan litters according to the needs of our adult cats. All of our females are given breaks in between litters, for their overall health and quality of life.
  2. We take in pride in following the various guidelines and codes of ethics set out by TICA and CVMA. This includes everything from facility standards to the latest health care advice. There are links to these guidelines & codes found on our “Links” page.
  3. We work alongside a licensed veterinarian to ensure we deliver kittens in the best health possible. All kittens come vaccinated, de-wormed, micro chipped, and spayed/neutered. They will go home with their vet records. All of our adult cats receive routine vet care and are genetically tested for diseases.
  4. Our kittens are raised at our family property. They spend the first several weeks of their life inside our home, socializing with other cats, dogs, kids and adults. They are introduced to the litter box, nail clippers, grooming and even bathing. Once the kittens get older they start to make small trips out to our Cattery where our adult Maine Coons spend a lot of their time. Information about our facilities can be seen on the “Cattery Facilities” page. By the time our kittens are ready to go home at between 12-16 weeks they are well socialized, friendly, and easy to handle.
  5. We believe in communication and transparency. Owners that have reserved a kitten are given weekly updates through photos, videos or even FaceTime! If you wanted to stay connected in other ways, check out Instagram and Facebook pages. We are always willing to talk and answer questions you may have so please contact us!:)

We are passionate about Maine Coons and want to share our love for this breed with anybody we can!

Our Family

We are a farm family residing in Saskatchewan, Canada. We have two amazing children, 2 domestic shorthair cats, a dog, and 2 horses. This is of course in addition to our beautiful Maine Coons which have their very own feature pages over at Our Stud and Our Queens.

My name is Sarah and I am the face behind “Wild Skies Maine Coon Cattery”. Growing up in Newfoundland, I always had a deep love for animals of all types and sizes. I met my first Maine Coon while visiting my grandmother's friend in Florida and I've been obsessed with the breed ever since.

I have a certificate in Feline Behavior and Psychology from the Center of Excellence, as well as a certificate for the Breeding Dogs and Cats course from Animal Welfare Victoria.
